Lily Rong Cong's perfect little world December 14, 2005 I closed The Ringmaster's Daughter just before the second last page last night. But I had to come to the last page sometime and it happened this morning, no matter how much I didn't want to finish the book, as much as I didn't want to end the stream of strange yet wonderful dreams it inspired. But the book never really ended, remember? I'll just have to keep dreaming... November 27, 2005 Quotes are added to both versions (e, c). (Digital) photography can be an expensive hobby... November 5, 2005 Why do some accounting students' arms are permanently injured: After an audit midterm exam... Lily: My arm hurts from non-stop writing for two hours. Friend: Both of my arms hurt... September 18, 2005 The 3-D version of my "perfect little world" has endured many invasions since the last update of its online version. The 3-D version is undergoing restoration. I'm comforted by the progress and showing off a few photos from a short break during and after exam period and a 3-week vacation in China as evidence. July 9, 2005 Happy birthday Mommy! Also, I uploaded the pictures of fireworks at Riverside Park in Cambridge on Canada Day (Note February 18, 2008: Unfortunately, the pictures were lost during my move Waterloo and changing three computers). May 29, 2005 Now an official Dan Brown fan - with three of his four books knocked down. There are some quite different but interesting views towards his not so well-known book, the one I just finished reading, Digital Fortress (DF)... Dad, who wouldn't buy anything Dan Brown wanted to sell, upon spotting DF on my desk: Not another Dan Brown book! Geir, all-time Dan Brown fan who gets along with Dad surprisingly well: I just read it - it's good; at least I could take a break from Robert Langdon. Karen, English major student, from whom I borrowed two Dan Brown books (A&D and DF), upon knowing that I was reading DF: Which one is that? One of his earlier ones, right? Yeah, that's one of his crappy ones. May 3, 2005 First work term at PricewaterhouseCoopers is over and now into a study term - a different kind of busyness. Well, at least I have sometime to organize my pictures from the trip to Montreal (yah!). March 12, 2005 I want to outperform a lot of other people, i.e. update (or have the time to) my website at least once a month. Yes, an update in "books" section - replacing The Rule of Four in "now reading" with Digital Fortress. Living in my imagination keeps me healthy ;) February 6, 2005 Spring's here! It was a grand day for "hide-and-seek" yesterday and I finished the rest of my photography trip in Galt. Go to "Galt" under "January 1, 2005" for the complete set of photos (Note February 18, 2008: All pictures taken during the Cambridge photography trip were combined in to one folder when I changed the photo host from Yahoo/Flickr to Picasa. So the album and sub-album names here no longer apply). January 30, 2005 A new album of the Tanglefoot concert last night is added to the photos page. January 13, 2005 In the middle of an audit engagement... Lily: [frustrated by unexpected issues and concerned with charging the client more time than the budget] I seem to be spending a lot more time than what I'm budgeted for. Team manager: Well, welcome to the club [:D]. January 11, 2005 An album of GO Audit training at Niagara-on-the-Lake is added to the photos page. January 1, 2005 Happy New Year! I've improved Photos page and added some albums from my New Year's photography trip in Cambridge. |
